The Herb Brooks Foundation, in cooperation with the Morrie’s Automotive Group, the Minneapolis Police Activity League, the Minneapolis boys' high school hockey team, and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, will conduct a Spring Hockey Clinic at the Parade Ice Garden, on April 2, 9, 23 and 30, 2017 in Minneapolis. This free program is designed to provide young skaters ages 8-12 the basics of hockey in a safe and fun environment under the direction of professional coaches.
The Spring Clinic is open to the first 50 skaters between the ages of 5-9 (for the Learn to Skate clinic) and 8-13 (for the Play Hockey/Power Skating clinic.)
The Herb Brooks Foundation provides helmets, sticks and skates for those who need it. Shin pads, elbow pads and gloves are recommended, but not provided.
