The Herb Brooks Foundation is proud to support the first-ever Sticks in Stillwater mite hockey tournament, February 5-7, 2016. The outdoor tournament will be played on 20 outdoor rinks, split between downtown Stillwater and the St. Croix Valley Recreation Center, also in Stillwater. Any tournament profits will be donated to the Herb Brooks Foundation (HBF).

Tournament organizers hope to attract over 200 teams. Pool play games will be played on Friday and Saturday, with the top teams in each pool advancing to playoff round on Sunday.

More information will be published in the October 1 edition of Let’s Play Hockey.

“The mission of the Herb Brooks Foundation is to grow the game of hockey,” said HBF President Ross Bernstein. “What better way to build the pyramid from the bottom than to support a tournament for the game’s youngest players.”
