The 2021 Herb Brooks Minneapolis summer clinics came to an end on Wednesday, July 28th. These clinics were offered to children around the Twin Cities area who don’t normally have access to Learn-to-Skate and Learn-to-Play Hockey. The kids skated twice a week for three weeks at Parade Ice Garden in Minneapolis.
With help from longtime coach Rick McKelvie and the Minneapolis Boys Hockey team, the clinics ran very smoothly and the kids had a blast. On average, 50 kids were on the ice per session.
Later in August, the HBF will head to the Charles Schulz-Highland Arena in St. Paul for six separate two-hour sessions on Monday's and Wednesday's. The summer session wait list continues to grow, and more than 70 children have registered thus far.
