Golfers will take to the course for the annual fundraiser golf event on August 6th

In less than a week, the Herb Brooks Foundation will be hosting the 12th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic at the Victory Links Golf Course in Blaine, MN.

As the golf outing provides every year, the funds raised will go towards the foundation’s goal of uniting kids and hockey for a lifelong bond.

The day is simple — golfing for a good cause.

The Golf Classic is set to begin at 12:00 pm Monday, August 6th and each of our nearly 200 golfers will get through the beautiful Victory Links Golf Course that afternoon. Registration will begin at 10:30 am at the Victory Links Clubhouse, with the option to use the driving range and putting green before the noon shotgun start. Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the day for chances to win some great prizes.

Each four person scramble will be paired with one VIP Celebrity Guest. Some of the esteemed celebrities that will join us out on the course are names you're sure to have seen on the ice before. USA Women's National Team hockey player and 2018 Olympic Gold medalist Dani Cameranesi, Head Gophers Men’s Hockey Coach Bob Motzko, and 2017 Stanley Cup champion Jake Guentzel are just a few of the celebrities who will be attending.

In addition, former Gophers and North Stars player Pat Micheletti,  US Hockey Hall of Fame member Lou Nanne, and 1980 Olympic Gold medal winning team members Rob McClanahan, Buzz Schneider, and Dave Christian will all be in attendance.

For our hungry golfers, Cambria will be hosting the Cambria Cookout lunch from 11AM to 2PM outside the Victory Links Clubhouse.

Immediately following the event around 5PM, everyone will make their way to our event space in the National Sports Center. Dinner will be served followed by announcements for the tournament award winners. We will also be posthumously honoring the Herb Brooks Youth Hockey Hall of Fame award winner, Bob Suter. This award is given to members of the hockey community who are devoted to growing the game at the youth level.
