Spring Clinics

REGISTRATION FOR MINNEAPOLIS & ST. PAUL SPRING CLINICS WILL OPEN IN FEBRUARY 2020

The Herb Brooks Foundation, in cooperation with Morrie’s Automotive Group, the Minneapolis Police Activity League, the St. Paul Police Activity League, the Minneapolis boys' high school hockey team, and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, will conduct spring hockey clinics this spring at TRIA Rink and Parade Ice Garden.

At Parade Ice Garden in Minneapolis: 

Clinics will be held on Sunday March 29th, April 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th from 12:00-2:00pm

  • Learn to Skate from 12:00-12:30 pm
  • Learn to Play Hockey from 12:30-1:15 pm
  • Power Skating from 1:15-2:00 pm

This free program is designed to provide young skaters ages 4-13 the basics of hockey in a safe and fun environment under the direction of professional coaches.

  • Learn to Skate aims to teach the fundamentals of skating while gradually introducing different elements of hockey. This clinic is geared towards participants ages 4-9.
  • Learn to Play Hockey is geared toward those who already have a skating foundation and are looking to learn or improve their hockey skills. This clinic is geared towards participants ages 7-13.
  • Power Skating is the most advanced of our clinics. In this class skaters will focus on their skating and improving on their edge work and stride. This clinic is geared towards participants ages 8-13.

The Herb Brooks Foundation provides helmets, sticks, and skates to use-free of charge-for those who need it.

In Minneapolis the spring clinic will be held at Parade Ice Garden from 12:00-2:00pm on the following dates:

  • March 29th
  • April 5th
  • April 12th
  • April 19th
  • April 26th

Learn to Skate will be held from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm with Learn to Play Hockey following from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm each day.
