This free program is designed to provide young skaters ages 4-13 the basics of hockey in a safe and fun environment under the direction of professional coaches.
On August 12th we did not hold our summer clinic. Instead we had some kids from the clinics join us at our 2019 13th Annual Herb Brooks Celebrity Golf Classic at Victory Links Golf Course.
The Foundation will present its 2019 Hall of Fame Award to Matt Olson
Blaine, Minn. (August 8, 2019) -- The Herb Brooks Foundation’s (HBF) annual Celebrity Golf Classic will be held on Monday, August 12 at the Victory Links golf course at the National Sports Center in Blaine.
The event is the major annual fund-raising event for the HBF, and is instrumental in providing financial resources to help the Foundation advance its mission to grow the game of hockey, especially among young athletes who would not otherwise have access to coaching, equipment and ice time.
The Herb Brooks Youth Hockey Hall of Fame Award will be presented to Matt Olson, from Isanti, Minn. Olson, 23, suffered a spinal-cord injury three years ago that ended his playing career and confined him to a wheelchair.
Our Summer Clinics are taking place at Charles M. Schulz-Highland Arena in St. Paul.

Blaine, Minn. (July 2, 2019) – The Herb Brooks Foundation would like to announce Lindsey Coleman as the Foundation’s new program director.
Coleman is a Savage, Minn. native, and a graduate of Burnsville High School, where she played hockey, soccer and lacrosse.
Blaine, Minn. (June 20, 2019) – The Herb Brooks Foundation is proud to announce that Cassie McClure of Duluth, Minn. has been honored as the inaugural winner of the Mark “Worky” Workman Perseverance and Character Scholarship Award.
This scholarship is awarded to high school or college age students who are actively involved with hockey, and have overcome hardship and persevered through adversity to overcome their obstacles and are looking to continue their higher education and hockey training.
